The business unit Trading and Portfolio Management is an active trader on all of Europe's energy markets and the number one trader of continental gas (TTF & Zeebrugge) and power (France, Holland, Belgium).  By actively managing GDF SUEZ's positions in power, natural gas and other related energy products, they play a central role within the company by optimising GDF SUEZ's European portfolio. The Central Portfolio Management team develops and offers the most innovative products and services to our customers by combining physical delivery, transmission access and financial instruments to ensure that our customers get the cheapest energy prices. 

Within TPM Europe we are now looking for a FX Trader 

Mission 

Together with the FX  Desk manager, your will have the following main responsibilities :

•  Assist in setting-up the Captive FX desk working procedures
• Assist in implementing the new Captive FX desk in TPM, which will involve many cross departmental functions
  • This will need intensive co-operation on cross departmental levels involving middle office, back office as well as close contact to other trading desks at the trading floor
• Be part of implementing new positioning and reporting system
• Administrative and daily reconciliation 
• Handling large internal customers and trading desks
• Execute hedging routines for our FX flows in relation to dark-spark spreads, in co-operation with portfolio management 
• Be the price-maker for our customer needs initiated by origination desk 
• Deliver a fast and sharp FX service for all other commodity trading desks in TPM  
• Executing orders in the market in an accurate and timely manner

Profile

• You have a master university degree in finance, economics, or equivalent by experience
• You have minimum 3-5 years of experience in the FX markets
• You have gained a well established insight within technical knowledge of the FX markets, and expert skills in pricing, flow management and risk taking based on commercial flows:
  • Good knowledge of interest rates products up to 5 years
  • Spot - major currencies + emerging markets (Central/East European)
  • Knowledge of derivatives especially options - medium and long term
• You can count on extensive trading skills and you are able to work under time constrains with large positions
• You have very good analytical and technical skills:
  • Technical insight in FX and interest markets
  • Customer-oriented and communicate in a pro-active and clear manner
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of accuracy and are performance driven
• You have developed some external network to counterparts
• You are fluent in English, and at least in one additional European language.
